In his professional career, Stuart Jackson was Chairman and Global Managing Partner for the years 2012-2021, overseeing a major restructuring of the firm and a tripling of revenues under his leadership. He is a past recipient of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants award and now serves as Vice Chairman of L.E.K.
Stuart Jackson’s publications include the highly acclaimed book Where Value Hides: A New Way to Uncover Profitable Growth for Your Business (Wiley, 2006), Best Job in the World (L.E.K. Consulting, 2023), Chasing Joy (BookBaby, 2024) and Predictable Winners: A Handbook for Developing, Forecasting and Lunching New Products and Services (with Ilya Trakhtenberg, Stanford University Press, 2025). He has contributed to The Wall Street Journal, The Journal of Business Strategy and Harvard Business Review.
Stuart Jackson graduated from Cambridge University and joined the London office of L.E.K. Consulting forty years ago. Stuart's wife, Marisa, describes him as being on his "fourth mid-life crisis", having taken up guitar-playing, track-racing, flying various aircraft (including a Spitfire and his own jet), and ocean sailing. His favorite quote on life comes from the poet Seamus Heaney: "Walk on air against your better judgement."
Ilya Trakhtenberg is a Partner and Managing Director in L.E.K. Consulting’s Chicago office and a leading partner in its healthcare practice. In his more than 15 years with L.E.K., he has led hundreds of engagements with a wide range of corporate and private equity clients to develop and launch innovative new products, accelerate business growth, and deliver superior investment returns. He has published more than a dozen journal articles, serves as a regular speaker at industry conferences, and founded L.E.K.'s MedTech Launch Center of Excellence. Ilya is also a past recipient of M&A Advisor's Emerging Leaders Award and a board member of L.E.K.'s global Sustainability Centre of Excellence.
Ilya studied Economics and Political Science at Northwestern University and was awarded an MBA with Honors from the Kellogg School of Management.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Ilya is actively parenting four energetic children with his beloved wife and partner Marina. Ilya's insatiable curiosity has also led him down many paths as a certified yoga instructor, an antique book collector, an amateur poet, a non-profit board member, and an entrepreneur.
